I focus so much on what I do and trying to be productive, my greater challenge is being a hearer of the Word by spending time in the Word and waiting upon the Lord for direction. A wise man once told me, "Do what you know until you know what to do." Even while waiting to hear from God, I can still do what I know He has called me to do until I receive new instructions. As Travis said yesterday, prayer is two-way communication, so I need to listen as well to receive additional instructions or confirmation that what I am doing is what He has for me to do.

Sowing and reaping is something we all understand. Generally speaking good decisions yield good consequences and bad decisions yield bad consequences. It is in the times where we experience the consequences of bad actions and repent that God extended his grace to cover us. This does not mean that we are immune to the consequences but that God's forgiveness washes us clean through his son Jesus.
